Since January 1, 2021, we have been writing a new chapter in a family business that is over 100 years old: With the founding of FINCH Foodstuff Hamburg GmbH by Volker and Cärsten Otte, the traditional DOHR GmbH has become a modern, focused specialist for natural casings – with a clear focus on pork casings and sausage casings.
FINCH combines the best of both worlds: decades of experience from our proven employees – most of them professionals with many years of expertise in the intestine business – and fresh, entrepreneurial energy, supported by our strong financial partner TOWA Ltd.
What does the name FINCH mean? Quite simply:
“Fin” like “fine” – because our casings are of outstanding quality.
“…ch” as in “much” – because we can reliably deliver large quantities just-in-time.
Our roots lie with DOHR (founded in 1911), which continues to supply high-quality beef casings, by-products, and, of course, our classic product: VIVA – the optimized pork casing. VIVA is our pride and joy – a true revolution in the natural casing sector.
